Have family in Vegas, and one time my cousin met another one of those people deep in debt, and he heard it a million times, but this one was different. He was a grifter who liked my cousin because he was a good bellboy, so instead of scamming him he offered to teach him his greatest tricks for some cash. He was a master of sleight of hand, and that's why it isn't really fair to compare a guy with actual skills like that to SJWs or Trump or whoever. A grifter has to have the confidence and charisma to be able to play the confidence game, but there's more to it than that to be a good street hustler.
I guess Anita Sarkeesian is the only one I can really think of who was an actual grifter. She worked for some dude selling books to incels on how to get laid, would hold how to get laid conferences for these guys, was a popular scam 10-20 years ago. He'd send Anita out to the streets to grift the incels. Now in those days, Trump and Zoë Quinn were mere prostitutes. |
