Console Classix by their own admission isn't expanding, has actively contracted over the last few years (down from I think three or so full time employees to the funder doing it part time,) survives in an unexplored and unprecedented interpretation of copyright law, and really are any of us talking about these old games from any vantage point because of legal options? Do any of the romhacking, translation, or video game communities thrive much less exist because of legal options or the foresight of any of the companies involved in the industry? |
