| Their business model is basically "we are a bank, but not actually a bank, so we can freeze your account and take your money at any time." Regulatory arbitrage didn't start with Uber.
There are tons of stories on the internet about how Paypal got nervous because someone suddenly got a lot of donations (including charities) and just froze their account for months. Nobody in the media or in Congress gives a shit. |
