I find it frustrating because I have earbuds that I really like and in order to keep using them I have to use a phone that can't even install the latest OS. I have a synthesizer from 1982 sitting here that works just fine connected to my desktop computer, meanwhile I can buy headphones right now that won't work with any Apple phone despite headphone jacks being a universal standard that's been in place for over 60 years.

... All righty, it doesn't. This is what I turned off the Saints being tied 3-3 to the Browns for. I'm sorry you have to see this in real time. This is not how I wanted this post to go. The other three guys in my college band all expressed interest in making music again. Will Lutz just shanked a field goal that would have put the Saints up 6-3. They're going to lose this game.
Anyway, yeah, it's a blatant cash grab on the part of Apple. They wanted to get 160 for something they were previously not getting money for. I just wish for everyone'e sake that they would have picked some other component.
The new Macbooks they are giving to people at work are missing all manner of ports. I have a Jenkins machine that we need to be on the wired network to connect to and the new guy can't connect because of his 2018 Mac. I know this sort of bitching is everywhere, but when you're already plenty busy in the day, Apple killing productivity for a few hours or days until we can get the right connector does nothing but make me hate them.
