| Motherfucking News would be about just that - news stuff. World news, Florida man, whatever Time Magazine would run with.
Balance of Power was meant to cover what was the "Election Watch" bases. I called them Election Watch 2016 or whatever which was dumb because it meant having to make a new one every couple of years. So really, that is supposed to be the "politics" base. The problem of course is that the news cycle is dominated by the constant scandals of Trump. (No offense if he's your guy or anyone else's guy, but there's a scandal that would have submarined many other men every day and that's just the truth.) I like that Site Comments is low traffic because it's easier for me to see stuff. I think that Caltrops in its current incarnation does well when there's a lot of game discussion to go with the politics stuff. A lot of places I go to ban Republicans and conservatives and I've tried to run this place where a person can say whatever they are thinking politically and know that they aren't fighting some asshole mod. I don't think we're all going to come together as a people, but at least it's out there. To that end, I do realize that a lot of the gaming discussion seems to be started by Mischief Maker, Tdarcos and myself these days (there is another poster that I adore that does it as well, but I don't want to embarrass him by specifically mentioning him) and sometimes I just get so busy at work that I can't hop on and start threads. I hope that the rest of you feel welcome to do so. I hope the site is fun for you going forward. ICJ |
