I got so pissed at the idiocy of older shows I was rewatching I went looking for something more tolerable and found a spy thriller with a speculative fiction hook and a so-far airtight plot.
The original description didn't give me great expectations but the cast is pretty solid. Interested by the end of the first episode, hooked by the second. Am now halfway through season one.
Maybe it'll go to shit, there's a pattern developing where every potential Chekhov's gun is getting taken off the mantlepiece and fired. Not a lot of red herrings. Oh well, it's a spy show, makes sense that there are spies. |
