I mean I don't think the e-mails are fake. Auerbach started up a defense to paint buzzfeed as non journalistic because they wouldn't send him the e-mails and were kind of pissy in their response to him, but he didn't say the e-mails themselves were fake and even linked a different e-mail from the wikipedia chain. He was obviously trying to distance himself because he knew what e-mails they were talking about.
He was being a bitch about it and should have just gave an honest response, only one thing was even made into an article. I only glanced at their shit but I don't think anita's dating status or chu's nazi friend really ever made it out there, so it was probably just private gossip. It's pretty unfortunate since he really went out of his way to make theater out of it, locking his account, name searching himself and quoting the tweets to say "thanks buzzfeed", and all that over e-mails that he actually sent.
Though throwing him in an article and kind of insinuating he's some alt right nazi because he e-mail milo a few times is overboard but the response to that theater doesn't necessarily have to be more fucking theater. |
