Sorry :( by Mischief Maker 09/06/2017, 4:21pm PDT I can't speak for all of them, but here are the ones I've played separated by subgenre: Bump-combat Ys 1 & 2 (Actually one game split in two Kill Bill-style. I probably would have loved these as a kid, but they're way too primitive for me to put in the effort at this age. Really good music, tho) Single Dude in 3D Ys VI (I bought this after Oath and it was a big mistake. VI is really clunky in comparison, yet more expensive for some reason) The Oath in Felghana (Like the review says, the best so far) Ys Origin (Chronologically a prequel to Ys 1 & 2 hundreds of years in the past) Party-Based Ys Seven (More fun than VI, but still feels like an early prototype for the new gameplay style. Much more complex than Oath with 3 party members, blocking, and slotting-in special moves ala. Dragon's Dogma or God Hand) Ys VIII (Comes out in a week, hopefully a perfection of Seven's ideas. What little I've heard of the soundtrack could put it close to Oath's quality) Now if you want ALL the details on Ys, go here.
