Because I don't move much, i.e. I don't walk anywhere, except if I have a diarrhea incident, I perhaps have a single bowel movement on a 2- to 3-day schedule. Often I'll have very dry, not-quite-constipated but slow movements. In the last 9 or so years if I've had a bowel movement so strong it could not wait and happened in public outside of a restroom, I can't remember.
I did have one time where I had a diarrhea incident at home that was so bad I ran out of everything, cleaning supplies, wet wipes, toilet paper, and my chair was a stinking mess. I had to run over to Family Dollar in DC on the bus. When I was in the store, the guard came over to me. I explained to him that I realized that I stank but I had an emergency, I had no way to clean anything up, I would only be in the store long enough to get cleaning supplies and pay for them, and I'm gone. And that was what I did. I also made sure I carry a considerable reserve supply of everything so that sort of incident never happens again, which is why I order wet wipes by the carton and toilet paper by the case from Amazon.
But I honestly don't remember a public incident where I could not get to a bathroom. Had a bad one in an ALDI's bathroom maybe a month or two ago where a diarrhea incident made a mess on the toilet but I did not soil the wheelchair. |
