Before making any untoward comments regarding my lifestyle based on the photos, consider the following: I selected and put these particular images out there for a reason. Here are some takeaways: 1.) I am financially independent and probably don't lead the life that your average American woman does. So I would equally appreciate someone who's been around the globe a bit and has a certain financial independence-- not because I need your financial support (I don't) but so that we might have a chance at something like parity. 2.) I attempt to keep myself physically and mentally healthy. If you are a heavy-set, diminutive, monolingual, under-educated, slovenly quinquagenarian, is it really recommended you contact me? 3.) Although I am no beauty contest winner, I humbly acknowledge that I attract my fair share of attention in real life. However, I am also a devoted single mother and therefore have limited time and social availability-- i.e. I don't make it a regular practice to troll bars and party at silly hours.

I'm reading poetry these days:

Nothing I cared, in the lamb white days, that time would take me
Up to the swallow thronged loft by the shadow of my hand,
In the moon that is always rising,
Nor that riding to sleep
I should hear him fly with the high fields
And wake to the farm forever fled from the childless land.

I grew up without a TV and my relationship with mass media is still tenuous at best. I find the forced hilarity of popular comedies confusing.
