| FEAR 3 retroactively established the previous two games as taking place, not in Monolith's hometown of Seattle like all reasonable people assumed, but in the fictional North American city of "Fairport". Get it? FEAR-port? The penultimate level actually took place at the Fairport Airport! I hope at least that guy was having fun.
So, in review: FEAR: 10/10 (how all shooters ought to be, unless they're Doom, or third-person, or multiplayer, or something I haven't played yet) FEAR 2: 9/10 (the best you can reasonably expect from a broken industry catering to morons) FEAR 3: 5/10 (4/10 if you don't care about same-couch co-op) FEAR 4: How about Blood III instead? Or just a different Blood II? They can reuse Caleb's voice samples if they want. |
