Unfortunately, the not-so-much cloak with plenty dagger & sexual harassment is par for the course of personalities who slash others at the knees to get into power. That isn't tech specific. Definitely worsened when they get billion $ valuations.
The start up cesspool seems to be born out of a certain environment... it looks, as an outsider, to be separate from the make up of software businesses in the past. Not seeing many women founders/funders, so I doubt that helps the atmosphere either. |
