I understand they're all-ages titles. What I'm trying to ascertain is whether they're the sort of all-ages titles that anybody can play, like DuckTales Requackstered, or the sort of all-ages titles that are exclusively for children - and Ken Levine naming it his game of the year tells you pretty much everything you need to know about that man - like Lego Marvel Super Heroes. The fact the developers didn't bother porting Ghostly Adventures 2 to your IBM machine is worrying, though I'm not ready to give up hope just yet. It's always when things look their bleakest and ghosts are closing in on all sides that etc etc you can see where I was going with that.
I think it's important to appreciate that Pac-Man has been starring in side-scrolling platformers for 33 years now, longer than Mario even, longer than Arthur from Ghouls 'n Ghosts (not as long as the buggy from Moon Patrol, but as the years wear on it's looking increasingly likely that was a one-off deal, cf. the real lunar rover). I think it's especially important the kids you're babysitting appreciate this, before they presume to tell me what sort of gameplay the character of Pac-Man is or is not suited for, like so much everyone who reviewed a Pac-Man platformer since 1984. I have complete confidence in your ability to get results. |
