Suicide Squad Extended Cut is a better movie than the Avengers. by John Ostrander Memorial Review 12/27/2016, 10:24pm PST The first act is basically a comedy sketch. Every single scene introduces one or more new characters, each more hamfistedly than the last. It helps that the characters are all fucking retarded to begin with, like the producers had a crew of troubled teens frantically doodling mascots for clowncore bands and some PA rushing around collating them into a script. Billy's taking too long drawing the hip-hop clothes on his crocodile man, tell the director to film in slow motion for a while to buy us time. The second act is Rita Repulsa sends Putties and everybody fights. Sure why not, gotta fight something. Eventually it starts raining and everybody hates each other and they're about to give up and go their separate ways until someone gives a speech and now they're a real squad, a suicide squad. The third act is the third act of Ghostbusters. Rita Repulsa is Gozer the Gozerian and she's making a big pillar of light! The CGI suit of armor from that first Thor movie is the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man and he's also there, hanging around the big pillar of light. The suicide squad goes and puts a stop to it but one of them dies I think, I don't remember. I know at least one of them didn't really die even though it looked like they did. After the credits Batman is looking for super heroes to go in his Justice League. He picks Aquaman and The Flash. Overall I liked it way better than Street Kings, not as much as Harsh Times. Street Kings fucking sucked. It started with the main guy waking up in the morning and washing his face and it was all downhill from there. It was like a character study of an archetype, starring a mannequin. Fuck Street Kings. See Harsh Times. If you laugh enough at Harsh Times then go ahead and see Suicide Squad as well.
