It was great art direction and attention to detail from the movies, plus better writing than I was expecting, all in search of better game mechanics.
There were 2 breaking points I ran into:
The flooded hallway in the first hotel level where haunted chairs or whatever would attack you. I can't even remember what was frustrating about it, but holy shit did it suck.
The alternate dimension library. That was my final breaking point 6 years ago. For some reason the frame rate went to such shit that it was literally impossible to make it through the timed obstacle courses there.
I'm tempted to reinstall it and try getting through that with the beefier rig of today. |
