| I got this for deep discount on Humble Store and it'll remain on sale for a couple more days.
This is Dungeon Keeper 3 with the details changed just barely enough to avoid a lawsuit. They brought back the narrator's voice actor. The interface is identical to DK2, plus a couple bells and whistles. The monster roster is practically the same as the old one, but a little expanded and better balanced. The most noticeable change is that this game is aimed at multiplayer and moves at a breakneck pace compared to the previous games. The aesthetic is a little less comedic and nastier than the original two. Research now produces points that you spend on a three-branched research tree. You have all sorts of new behavioral controls like flags you can plant to stop your imps from trying to claim certain passageways. It's Dungeon Keeper 2, just a liiiitle bit better. My only complaint is the developers for some reason are really stingy with releasing patches to their DRM-free customers. |
