Heck, this is the same group of people who, reportedly (and according to public records) still haven’t filed complete financials (1, 2, 3) in the UK, as they are required to. Since US private companies are not required to file financials publicly, but they are in the UK, the fact that they have failed to do this, continues to be a huge Red flag. Especially with so many entities (which we’ve uncovered so far) tied to this project . Instead, they’re apparently just paying the fines. For example, these are the yearly financials for Frontier Developments, a UK company, and the developers of another crowd-funded project, and Star Citizen competitor, Elite Dangerous.

Why would you support any business that was trying so hard to hide or mismanage their accounts? The reddit thread he links to is a great read too. This is a subreddit where I remember reading that someone was waiting for their next disability check so they could give Roberts more money. However, when they're allowed to finally confess their concerns they sound like their critics except it's even worse because they have firsthand knowledge of it.

I backed during the Kickstarter, I'm in for an Aquila and a smattering of smaller ships (plus 2 extra packages for family members I plan to make play with me), and yet I've only launched the game 3-4 times. Any time I'm in the mood to see where the game's at I'm faced with spending a day downloading patches, and the few times I've gone ahead and done that it's seemed fun, but when I tried the tutorial I ended up crashing the ship trying to launch 'cause I couldn't figure out what was going on, and when I tried Crusader I spent forever trying to figure out how to navigate the ship.

I made a point of collecting 'limited' ships and now feel more than a bit ripped off. Its a shame CIG's marketing department is basically like any marketing department anywhere. If they weren't here they would be selling used cars with bogged up body panels.

Being able to buy a 2000$ Javelin which will be incredibly hard to obtain in the game IS pay to win.

1.) When someone asks if something will be added to the game CIG usually respond with, "Yes, that will be added to the game Soon™." Without ever really explaining how they're going to add it or how it will work.
2.) I fear the game won't even be done in 2018
3.) I'm very sick of seeing Soon™. It is a lazy word and they should use "We have no idea" instead
4.) I think CIG isn't really sure what they're doing and are taking a "fake it till you make it path"

Dogfighting feels like a tedious box and circle dragging simulator.

unpopular opinion: sales are not as strong as they once were, and they don't have the money to keep development going indefinitely. the longer CIG extends the development timetable the more likely it is for this project to end with an anti-climax.

My favorite:

I'm sick and tired of CIG sending me car dealership-esque emails about $5 sales for their digital spaceships. I wouldn't deal with this shit if it was an actual car dealership selling actual vehicles that would impact my actual life, and I'm sure as hell not going to deal with it when it's digital ships that totally aren't pay-to-win even though everything about the current balance (which they can't be assed to fix) suggests they are.
