Had fun with it but probably not $40 worth. Maybe if they hadn't shuttered all but 3 of the maps for the stress test? The Japan map seems crazy in favor for the defender and it started being not fun trying to take that 2nd point. Any team can handle taking out one Bastion turret, but 2 or more overlapping each other is beyond any public group to handle.
People have no clue how to take advantage of their team's tank. Reinhardt's shield works better when you stay behind it, dummies.
Turret kills need to be excluded from Play of the Game. It's the equivalent of free throws making up an NBA highlight reel. Stare at Torbjorn's back or Symmetra facing a wall.
Also on Play of the Game: the award going to someone who got a bunch of kills obviously set up by a supporting player (Dragon Strike arrow wiping the entire enemy team thanks to them being stunned by Reinhardt/Mei).
While all of the offense characters have their strongpoints (though I'd argue Tracer tends to contribute little), the rocket chick seems all around better for just about any given situation. Raw firepower, range, mobility, ult devastation.
Nobody seems to realize how clutch a teleporter is when your team is the further one from the front. Even most Symmetras never bother putting one down.
All the players who pick Bastion, Torbjorn, and Symmetra (without teleporters) on the attacking team and are worthless.
All the Mei players who fuck over their own team with ice wall more than the enemy.
General consensus that Reinhardt is by far the best tank and Lucio the best support. The only thing keeping Lucio from constantly dominating is everyone plays him like an offensive lone wolf trying to wall run everywhere away from the team.
The pink haired roid pixie tank sucks. By far the least picked character I saw, and every team that had one lost. Out of all the tanks she has the worst damage, durability, mobility, shielding, and a crap ult.
I can't fathom why anyone would pick McCree over any of the other offensive characters. |
