It's going for the 90's hardcore/retro RPG look and feel. I gave the demo a shot and it felt about right. I couldn't figure out how to heal and then learned the demo won't let you rest. I was going to sweep the map ala Baldur's Gate but ran out of health. I would have posted this in the Betrayal at Krondor forum, but that fucking doesn't exist. PRO - Story and background doesn't feel rehashed - Grim and edgy setting! - Get to figure out a new system to min/max - Real-time with pause CON - Get to figure out a new system to min/max - Skills seem useless in short demo |
