I backed it by CattleHumper 07/15/2015, 9:11am PDT I put in my $40, hoping they would fulfill the original promise of a good single-player space game. All the promises and stretch goals (brilliant ways to increase revenue, really. The DLC of crowdfunding) were icing that seem to have snowballed into a second (and third) much more ambitious game. I don't have high hopes for the final online universe coming out any time soon, and when it is released it will likely fall short on the promises made over the years. Who knows, it could be decent! And there are nearly a MILLION individuals who have paid for the game in one form or another. Whatever happens it will be interesting to watch.
