Can governments take responsibility for the results of their own actions? by blackwater 07/07/2015, 9:26am PDT
Or is it just going to be the same old "blame everything on the outsiders, and keep on going as usual" bullshit?

If the Greek government is a puppet regime, it's a pretty shitty puppet. It has done almost nothing of what Germany, the US, or the "troika" wanted it to do.

The Greek governent collects almost nothing in taxes. It blows millions on pensions for people who don't exist and disability payments to people who aren't disabled. "In a country of 11 million people, only 5,000 admitted they earned more than $100,000 a year." In an area with 300 officially registered swimming pools, Google Earth satellite imagery showed more than 20,000 pools. http://nypost.com/2015/07/05/decades-of-fraud-have-swindled-greeks-out-of-billions/

This the world that socialism gave Greece: a world where fraud is routine, personal responsibility is non-existent, and problems are always the fault of outsiders. You don't work for a living, you get your buddies in the government to give you handouts. If you borrow money and you can't pay it back, it's the fault of the chump who lent it to you or of the world for being a harsh place. Nothing is ever the fault of the government and the role of the government is to give out handouts, not to enforce the law.

It sickens me to see grown adults acting like children. It's like Venezuela where there are now long lines that people wait in every day for bread. And there often isn't enough bread to go around so the people at the end of the line get nothing. The rate of malnutrition for children is now growing in Venezuela, all as a result of the government's horrible economic policies. But don't expect anyone to take responsbility-- it must be the US's fault for not giving enough money to their far-left regime. Socialism always ends the same way. At least the USSR had the guts to take responsbility for its own failures-- their pride wouldn't let them blame everything on the US.
