The looming visage of Sabrina evokes Michele Pfeiffer's Catwoman wearing Jack Nicholson's Joker hat. Her name is scrawled out in lipstick, as if to suggest mania. Harrison Ford looks smug, oblivious, slightly buzzed, no idea what he's getting himself in to. What I expected: Hard Candy with a teenage witch. What I got: a regular rom com about some rich jerk falling in love with a servant girl half his age. No magic is performed and nobody's nose gets bitten off. Thumbs down. |
