If you read the original article this was a reply to, you would have read how I mentioned that a guy named Harry Dent was reporting in the newsletter he was hawking that an unnamed Texas electronics retailer was going to go bankrupt by August 1, 2013. In my article I noted that, using the information provided by the teaser plus the somewhat obvious URL, that the retailer in question he predicted would go bankrupt 16 months ago - okay, it was a year and a quarter, not a year and a half, sue me - was Radio Shack.
On February 5, 2015, Radio Shack declared bankruptcy. Whether it's just sheer coincidence that it did happen, or they just lasted a lot longer than Dent expected, it is interesting that they have gone bankrupt. I guess, in a way, one thing I can say is given the change in how electronics are sold and the lack of a focus on any particular market, I'm somewhat surprised Radio Shack could stay in business as long as it did.
