So maybe this is their legitimate opinion? I mean in the end neither of these games really were made to encourage spite buying. Hunie Pop was a dumb kickstarter game, it certainly only got as popular as it did because of novelty. If Hatred was some planned marketing stunt it deserves just as much money as Tropes vs. Women(spoilers: Tropes win).
Honestly, a better article would be "don't be spiteful" but I guess that train has sailed. Instead we're gonna say "well be as spiteful and horrible of a person as you want, but please don't bring that spite into your game buying it undermines the perfect system of all high selling games being recognized as superior art". As if the majority of gamers aren't just collecting shit they don't have the time to play as it goes on sale. |
