I guarantee that none of these Don Quixotes who get TRIGGERED by fedoras have ever been in the Peace Corps or any community service that brings them into poor ethnic neighborhoods (no wi fi!). You don't hear 1960s Freedom Riders talk about their experience with segregationist mobs with a fraction of venom that these losers direct at cleavage in a videogame or the man on the bus who thought raped them by sitting splayed in an empty row.

You'll find more ethnic diversity at any given video game tournament than you will at all the XOXO talks and Dashcons combined.


I remember the time I had to share an apartment with a bunch of trust fund hipsters in Brooklyn. One girl in particular was typical retro glasses, always angry about some social issue SJW. One time I jokingly asked the other girl roommate which Disney princess she was, and SJ overheard and flew off the fucking handle about "assumed gender roles". Another time she had some friends over and started blasting music in the common room until the walls shook at 3 goddamn A.M. on a weekday (she only worked 15 hours a week at a thrift store). When me and another roommate asked her to turn it down, she went into a screaming fit about how she never gets to see her friends and "gets enough crap from my family I don't need any more from you!" I can't remember for certain if she actually threw out the word "oppress", but she might have.

Eventually she moved out in the middle of the night with 2 months of unpaid rent + utilities.
