When GTA 5 launched, Caroline dared to give the game a generous 9/10 docking it a point for being exceptionally misogynistic- more than its presumed cynicism could really justify. A very real problem that threatens the enjoyment of anyone with an eye for spotting marginalization.
There are some very real problems with GTA 5. I enjoyed GTA 5. As a game, there are some huge problems with it.
"Perfect except for the fact that it hates or mistrusts women." Whoops, I keep forgetting that misogyny doesn't mean that any more. The game isn't fucking "perfect except that its mean towards women." It doesn't have save anywhere. The missions, just like every other game in the series past the second one, often get in the way of the fun part. I really did enjoy it. It's probably the best game in the series. They are getting better, slowly and laughably, at what they are trying to do. GTA 5 is probably a 7.3 on a 10 scale.
Now... you have these shitty hipsters unable to review a game on merit. Seal-clapping shitheads that lack the vocabulary to talk about what does and doesn't work in a game. Sitting there, slack-jawed with the controller nestled up against purple-tinted junk that no reasonable person would want in their mouth.
