You can just hit enter to skip the transitions. Don't you DARE hit escape though to auto exit the game and lose all the powerups you picked up!

The "wonder for randomly spawned eggs" bit has been replaced with a passable, stripped down Megaman portion. So that's good.

The Berserk portion is roughly the same, but it's only to unlock "conditional" battle scripts which I never noticed (more on that) so this portion is entirely optional and skippable. So that's good.

HE MADE THE BOSS BATTLES REAL TIME!!! Nothing is changed from Desolate Room except it no longer pauses when someone's turn is up. THE METER IS ALWAYS CHARGING WHY ARE YOU READING ALL 32 SKILL DESCRIPTIONS LIKE A PUSSY? ATAHATAHATATAATATATATAT You're already dead :(. Jesus christ can you imagine DR boss battles with no pausing? The first try I was dead before I could even read the skills. The second time I easily won by just clicking on whatever said "attack" or "heal" with no regard to any kind of strategy.

Remember in the DR you wracked your brain to come up with creative strategies for each boss? How you prayed to god you could hold out until you could pull it off? How every action was precious and desperate? Well remember it because it's gone in Desolate Hope. It seems like he reduced boss difficulty to a fraction of what it was in order to accommodate for the frenzied pace so there's no time and no requirement for thinking. A terrible trade off.

It's a shame the guy has to ruin a good idea even if he improves on something with each game he makes. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away :(
