I mean, that should be the end of her career right there. She engaged in a systematic promotion of her beloved roommate's games over a couple years, under the guise of "Whoa, check this stuff out I just found!"
All she had to do was say, "By the way, I live with Anna." All she had to do was tell one of her colleagues about the games instead of writing about them herself and if her colleagues liked 'em as much as Patricia did then that colleague would promote them. Kotaku dummies don't do much besides write about games they just happened upon (not reviews, just... here's some stuff) and thsee games don't seem like they require 80 hours to form an opinion on.
But that was too much for her. That's why we say they're all lazy. The slightest bit of effort is too much for them.
In fairness, this probably goes on with male #GAMESJOURNOS and male#GAMESDEVS and why aren't we focused on THEM for Christ's sake???! We identify the one woman that's passing off nepotism as curation or journalism and she just happens to respond with sarcasm and condescension.
This probably happens with men, too! Fuck those guys!
