Truth Time! i've only seen one Enterprise all the way through, but it definately sucked, as did the bits and pieces ive seen before and since, so i'm only a semi-expert on the subject. I did somehow miss the super tight spock uniform girl-spock started wearing during the last gaspfinal few episodes :(

i'll take your word on how bad the whole series was (and your IMPLIED word on how much better DS9 was).

Same thing with a ton of current series: Stargate SG-1, Alias, etc. Who can follow all this shit? Whatever happened to self-contained episodes?

Alias is gay but i hear you on Stargate. I kept waiting for the very first episode so i can see it from the beginning, because that's the way it was meant to be watched and i am a huge faggot but every episode is pretty much the same, so i don't think its that important to know how Te'elk (Teelc...Tilck'kkk) got his fucked up forehead tatoo.

Then they run through the gate and fight deep voiced "aliens" (wear a 3rd ear on your face, TRY for gods sake) or fucking tinkertoys spider monsters. and its still a million times better than Enterprise, mostly because they come across faggot aliens with lazerrods and then they're all SUPPRESSING FIRE and machine gun him to death.

the great part(??!?!?!) about Voyager was that it didn't try and force you to root for their fruity characters. Usually i have to watch whoever, Bashier maybe, do something impossibly gay and then see everyone around him force laughter instead of oh say clubbing him to death. In Voyager, Paris/Kim/Doctor/AlienChef would accidently grab a fistfull of Klingon manass or whatever, and then whoever was standing next to said dipshit would roll his eyes and let out a (paraphrasing) "oh Paris, you fucking faggot." So there's that. on the downside, they anticipated running out of ideas early on, so much so they introduced 7 of 9 so they could have a borg in every single episode.
You can tell how much a sci-fi show sucked previously by measuring the amount of time it took for them to run out of interesting ideas and start going with the "big mysterious evil race comes out of nowhere and everyone must unite to stop them". TNG and Babylon 5 didn't pull out the borg or shadows until a couple seasons in (and even then the Borg weren't brought out that often).

yes, i can see complaining about retreading the same shit over and over, if it weren't consistently awesome that is! Locutus of borg was great for TNG standards, and the shadow only had like 2 different ships and still had the best sci-fi battles evar. Besides, I'd take same ol' *yawn* unstoppable Borg rampage to piercingly gay space whales in distress humanitarian science mission (that only Troi can solve) any day of the week.
