Babbling about #Ferguson was probably the earliest initial response to GamerGate by Worm 10/27/2014, 10:55am PDT It's a completely loaded argument, but I think it really reveals an underlying issue that an exceedingly small amount of people care about the problems, solutions, or any discourse. You can even see in Wu's twitter feed that she's trying to be more reasonable, but it's all mixed in with her talking about how she feels her last interview was unfair etc, etc. Is she a true believer or is she just having fun being elevated a grade from her previous point of Internet celebrity? Who fucking knows, who fucking cares? I've got contempt for these people as an extension of hating new games journalism and hating pompous windbags who are usually dimwits, even if one or two is agreeable I'll never be able to shake the feeling that they're fakes. These people have contempt for me (or people like me) as an extension of having a fat nerd stare at them hard, someone call them a slur in an MMO, or more likely wanting to free themselves from some whiteness-inflicted lack of authenticity.
