screenshot by fabio 09/28/2014, 8:25pm PDT I tried the challenge mode to see if maybe I was wrong and if minigun spamming wasn't as effective as a diversified, adapting strategy like Tom Chick said. Nope. Very first attempt at the challenge level doing nothing but blindly focus firing hives with as many minigunners as I could afford and I get #9 in the world. I even fucked up clearing the first hive cluster, taking a lot longer than it should. I didn't even bother pausing to micromanage. If I did I might have managed splitting into two groups for faster clear time and cracked the top 3. Shame because if you really did have to adapt like all the gushers claim then this would be one of the best strategy games ever made.
