Symptoms include: a mysterious belief that you can actually act, despite having acting chops that wouldn't qualify you for a part as Guy in Crowd #14 on Girls Gone Wild. A desire to add "more story" to your reviews, especially stories that involve your friends cosplaying. And a (sadly accurate) belief that you have to post shit even if you have nothing to post, to keep up your viewership.
Spoony is still very good when he's playing himself: someone who nerdrages and rambles on in an entertaining way about certain videogames and D&D topics. He can be really insightful sometimes. I really liked the earlier stuff in his Ultima series, and I will probably watch this too... making generous use of the fast-forward button on certain parts, no doubt. He obviously cared about the series-- he's not just posting another Ultima review to make it to N reviews of old games like certain other reviewers. |
