Does The Sopranos get any better? by Rafiki 08/11/2014, 1:18pm PDT
I'm on the 2nd episode of season 2. Gandolfini's good and there's a few other good performances, but the writing is mostly mediocre. The most interesting parts are the conflict between Tony and his mother and Tony and Junior, but so much time is spent slogging through boring-ass family and personal lives. Tony's wife only exists as someone for Tony to cheat on, his kids are boring and stupid because the writers aren't ready to have them seriously deal with any fallout from who their dad is in season 1 so they spent most of the time being worthless (see also: The Americans), and I hate Moltisanti.

Does it improve, because this soap opera subplot bullshit isn't working for me.
