Dow Jones is celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the first issue of The Wall Street Journal, July 8, 1889, by having an interactive display of the first page of the four page newspaper that was issued as Volume 1, Number 1. Click on any of the items and it shows some of the things they did then that you wouldn't think were related to a financial newspaper, like covering sports events such as boxing matches. And, of course, they sold ads. The paper, then, sold for 2c, which it claims is equivalent to 51c today.
