I haven't tried Wizardry 7 but I played and mostly enjoyed 6 - it's surprisingly atmospheric despite not-great graphics. It's fun to map without slowing you down as much with the navigational-type puzzles (spinners, darkness, teleports) as in earlier Wizardry games. I still managed to get stuck at one particular battle and gave up about 3/4 through - I think I maybe waited too long to change all my character classes so they were still too low-level in the new classes when I started to reach the difficult battles. It's hard to say whether it's worth your time over 7 though without having played it. I'll probably give that a go next when I finish Spellcasting 201.

Just set column width = row height and use the background fill tool, I guess? NT by Worm 07/01/2014, 4:16pm PDT NEW

Well I'm either doing Wizardry 6-8 or World of Xeen, then I'm done with CRPGs. by Mischief Maker 07/01/2014, 6:42pm PDT NEW
