I got ripped off today by a very slick scammer (on the street, not on-line) by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 06/28/2014, 1:58pm PDT There is a guy on the street at Gallery Place in front of the Verizon Center (7th & G Streets N.W. in Washington, DC) and he's pulling a pretty slick scam, which I got taken on. He asks me if I can give him a twenty for two tens. I never thought to ask why he needed a twenty (if it had been someone wanting a quarter for two dimes and a nickel, the obvious reason is they need to feed a parking meter), but anyway, I found a twenty-dollar bill in my wallet and traded him for the two tens. Then he shows me a one dollar bill and claims that's all I gave him. I don't know why I didn't call him on it, partially I guess I figured I could have made a mistake. So I gave him his two tens back since I didn't have another $20. I kind of came to the conclusion later that he had ripped me off of what essentially is $19. Very slick.
