| There's something broken about it. Not during play, but during the load process. It's been a while since I've played it and I can't describe it exactly, but it has the single most annoying number of hoops to jump around to get extra players going with it. It doesn't stop you from playing or having fun, but man, I'd think that the dev team never played a 4-person PS2 game before.
K.Thor said everything I would say, but I would add that you, inexplicably, cannot play it in four-player mode all the way through. It's a great party game but they have single-player missions sprinkled in, nonsense with "Magma's" irritating and stupid character arc and do not even have the option for multiple players until the second mission in (Cyke and Wolverine only) and getting to 4 takes a few more missions beyond that. After you get going if you're OK with someone going through Magma's stupid bullshit while the rest of you drink beer and wait for the game to get fun again and deign that the rest of you can play you'll have a great time. the dark and gritty...Ice Cream Jonsey! |
