Magic the Gathering card games have always been repellent to me. Spend tons of money hoping you get powerful rare cards to play a game that just isn't that fun. Spend tons of time forming your deck, which is where the game is decided, followed by the mere formality of playing it out.
So Hearthstone is free and I hear it's the usual Blizzard streamlining applied the MtG.
Yup, pretty much. All the flaws are still there though. Someone who ground out (or paid ral money for) all the good rares is probably going to beat you, and most games are decided right form the start by deck setup.
If you're into this kind of NERD CRAP though, you'll probably love it. |
