I guess he really expected the world of top tier game developers to fight each other for the privilege of making an icycalm game (finally), and it was a severe awakening to discover the first bunch of applicants were teenagers who know Flash. Pearls before swine and all that, take my ball and go home.
But on the positive side, he also mentioned the best hope is for someone to invent an open world game builder middleware, which is actually a rational dream, as far as dreams go. |
