The resemblance to shit I buy and play is spooky to me.

I have no idea what's going on, awful internet news has a leading political figure over there blaming the West for sending snipers. It's starting to sound like a game plot.

The internet wrote:

“We cannot exclude that we are talking here of a professional recruited in one of the NATO countries, who was brought here on an order from the opposition’s radical wing,” a local newspaper Segodnia.ru, quoted the deputy on Thursday.

Russian foreign minister Sergei Lavrov expressed concerns about Ukraine “getting out of control”; the minister said he was “convinced” that foreign countries were destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.


By game plot I meant conspiracy kook radio show.

Aside from the fact that news people read is written like a high school essay now, this is like something out of a Deus Ex prequel. I expect someone to start babbling about the protesters being infected with T-virus any minute. I wonder if the next generation of Eastern Euro games are going to have to top this. Devs there are content to make games about plague towns and disaster zones and consumers love to give them awards for it, I guess Poland is over a watershed line so they set the Witcher in a fantasy.

I love this photo, the guy isn't taking cover or waving signs or happy to meet some news crew, you can tell it's for a gallery shot. Cred > solidarity I guess.

The various factions inside the protest movement include perennial Eastern Euro favorites like fans of watered-down Nazism and purity.

This can only end well, but if this is the kind of thing Eastern Europe sees every few years it explains why some of them were so tickled that Metro added fantasy to something so close to the drudgery of their crumbling governments, smuggling operations, etc.
