Narrative control is everything, that is why anyone defending the Duck Dynasty idiot never brings up the comment where he essentially says welfare is why black people aren't still singing while picking cotton, nope it's just an attack on Christian values, that's all. This whole outrage over the right losing it's right to free speech rings pretty false, especially considering we've had years of insisting the President was a Commie Manchurian candidate. I totally disagree with the mob mentality and the new tactic of getting people fired as a go to defense mechanism. Though on the other hand these are just people who said stupid shit and got canned. There certainly are degrees of it on one hand you have a tweet or an innocuous comment at programming convention then on the other hand you've got someone doing a magazine interview where he suggests the subjugation of black people is revisionist history. I still agree with the reply I got in another thread about the infantile lawlessness of it. No one can imagine anything worse than being vilified on the Internet and getting fired so that's the end all be all to EVERY issue. As if that kind of behavior won't just sour everyone on liberal points of view.
