Anti-Discrimination statement by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 12/14/2013, 6:14am PST
Minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors of Viridian Development Corporation.

1. The meeting was called to order at 2:42 pm on September 20, 2013.
2. All directors of the corporation were present at the meeting. A waiver of notice was signed by all members of the Board of Directors.
3. Paul Robinson, the General Manager of the Corporation, made the following statement, which has been read into the record:

On April 3, 2009, this corporation unanimously issued a pledge of anti-discrimination in which it includes a broad list of classes of persons against whom it will not discriminate. I have since discovered that Xerox Information Systems LLC has included the class of "basis of genetic information" as a protected class of persons against whom they will not discriminate. In the name of human decency, and in line with this corporation's declaration of respect for the rights of individuals, that we should also exclude genetic testing as a form of discrimination that we will not tolerate. I ask that the board of directors add "basis of genetic information" to our pledge of anti-discrimination as a condition we shall not discriminate against.

4. Director Paul Robinson, sole director of the board, made a motion to authorize the general manager to do so. This motion was carried unanimously.
5. The corporation therefore authorizes the General Manager to revise our policy to add the phrase "basis of genetic information" to our pledge of anti-discrimination.
6. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned at 2:43 pm.

Viridian Development Corporation,
by its Board of Directors:

Paul Robinson, Director

Waiver of notice of board meeting of Viridian Development Corporation
September 20, 2013

I hereby waive notice of the board meeting being held today.

Paul Robinson, Director,
Viridian Development Corporation

----------------

Certain forms of discrimination are illegal, but more than this, we feel it is necessary to do more than merely that which is required by law. The Board of Directors of Viridian Development Corporation has unanimously adopted the following policy, and we encourage other organizations to do the same, and in the event they do so, to use the following, substituting the specific date and their own name in place of ours:

It is the policy of Viridian Development Corporation to self-impose additional prohibitions against discrimination above and beyond that which is required by statute.

Even where not required by local law, (provided the person is able to enter into a binding contract) Viridian Development Corporation pledges that it shall not discriminate against any person on the basis of:

* affection to another;
* age;
* ancestry or country of ancestral origin;
* basis of genetic information; **
* color;
* court order of protection against another, or victim of crime or domestic abuse;
* children;
* creed;
* disability (sensory, physical or mental) or handicap
* elderliness;

* gender, gender identity or gender expression;
* guide dog ownership;
* infection by AIDS, HIV or HIV-related illness;
* lawful source of income;
* marital status or changes in marital status;
* matriculation;
* national origin or nationality;
* pet ownership;
