There's also draft scripts that have Deckard calling himself a replicant in the closing voice-over. Earlier drafts didn't have that and it doesn't seem like the sort of thing that the writers would add of their own accord, meaning it probably came down from Scott. I'm not fond of the unicorn dream, but if you're going to specify that Deckard is definitely a replicant, it's a better way of making the point than this:
I knew it on the roof that night. We were brothers, Roy Batty and I! Combat models of the highest order. We had fought in wars not yet dreamed of... in vast nightmares still unnamed. We were the new people... Roy and me and Rachael! We were made for this world. It was ours! |
