Because they don't treat you like a criminal like Microsoft does. Because they'll be less inept than Sony. Because games are all just OpenGL + some platform glue anyway... the various different platforms are not really a big deal any more. This is a space that ought to have been commoditized by now. And when it is fully commoditized, prices will be lower and people will get a better deal.
