It's been a long time. In order of recommendation:
Not Superheroes
The Death-Ray - Dan Clowes' latest.
Optic Nerve - Adrian Tomine has been putting this out since I was in high school and issue 13 just came out last month.
Fury - My War Gone By - More Ennis war comics. Cynical in that dully accurate, yet compelling way that Ennis knows so well.
Chew - In the near future, the bird flu has prompted the government to criminalize chicken. FDA agents police restaurants and markets, combating the illegal trade that has arisen and the organized crime families that control it. Tony Chu is one of these agents, but he's also a cibopath: when he eats something, he instantly knows the entire past of whatever he just ate. Then things get crazy.
Fables - Every character in every fable you've ever heard (and in the ones you've never heard) is real. They walk among us in secret. Many are functionally immortal. And they want to go home.
The Manhattan Projects - Batshit insane alternate future chronicle of what happened during and after the development of the atomic bomb.
Superheroes
Dial H - Written by China Mieville.
Guardians of the Galaxy - Marvel's next big movie.
