Neither fucking issue matters but they're totally different meaningless issues. So some kids got their favorite weapon nerfed and they went on twitter and spit some venom, then all of a sudden they're writing like the guy is getting letter bombs and anthrax in the mail. Holy shit, you designed a game focus grouped toward the most awful little shits in all of America, you should be surprised you get that FEW death threats.

Then you have Phil Fish who was like an Old Yeller no one had fond memories of, then the damn dog went out back and shot himself. Somehow this is supposed to teach us a lot about online harassment and why it's something really bad. I think if anything it makes the argument that online harassment is great and that everyone should solve the problems in Egypt and Syria by calling people faggots over twitter.

Finally, I think there has been a reaction by gaming communities towards industry trends which are genuinely manipulative and restrictive, and while that in no way justifies abusive behavior
