It didn't really land for me. by Fullofkittens 08/23/2013, 8:09am PDT The themes behind it are a little over the head of children and the adventurey parts didn't really work for me either. There was a Pixar guy who gave a talk I went to recently, and they think of it as one of their best movies, for whatever that's worth. I appreciate those guys in any case for pushing the envelope and trying interesting things with their huge budgets. For whatever its other flaws, I had no idea what would happen at the end of Monsters University and what does happen would not happen in an animated movie made by any other company.
