Seriously, Comcast is running advertisements where people are complaining about their company using "slow DSL from the phone company" and should switch to Comcast Business-Class Internet. I have just one question.
Why does Comcast think business people are stupid?
No business needing Internet service would use DSL unless there were two conditions. (1) You can't afford anything above the typical $19.95 to $29.95 a month that DSL costs. (2) You can't get Cable Internet or Fiber Internet at all.
I have Internet from Comcast because I wheedled my landlord into getting it - and I pay him extra for it - because he is already paying for Cable TV, and by ordering Internet with TV from Comcast you get the typical $59.95 a month Internet-only service for an additional $24.95 a month. I've run speedtests, and I routinely get around 10/3 megabits/sec vs. the about 750K or so I used to get when I took Naked DSL ("Naked DSL" means you don't have phone service, just Internet) from Verizon because at the time, all I could afford was $19.95 a month.
If you're running a business where you use Internet, and you can get Cable Internet (or Verizon's offering, FIOS) and can't afford $59.95 a month if you don't buy Cable TV, or the extra $30 if you're already buying Cable TV, you're not running a business, you're kidding yourself.
The only people who are buying DSL are (1) residential customers who don't have Cable TV and don't want or can't afford to pay $59.95 and can only afford the $19.95 or $24.95 DSL offering; (2) customers who cannot get Internet connectivity from any other source.
What business in the world that can get faster Internet (that uses Internet) and can buy Cable or Fiber Internet can't afford $60 a month (or less if they already take Cable TV or some other offering)?

Why does Comcast think business operators are stupid enough to use DSL? by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 07/28/2013, 3:22pm PDT

Try again. I'm telling you what DSL was in 2009, not '97. 750K max, No faster. NT by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 08/04/2013, 3:54am PDT
I was getting 1.5mb down off DSL in 2000 by Entropy Stew 08/04/2013, 12:48pm PDT
It was Verizon. That's what I got from them 750K, no more unless pay $$$$$ big. NT by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 08/04/2013, 6:59pm PDT
DSL speed is a very literal case of YMMV NT by Entropy Stew 08/04/2013, 9:26pm PDT
Yeah, I guess when you're human debris, $30 is "big money". Or is that $$$$$ NT by The Happiness Engine 08/04/2013, 10:00pm PDT
It wasn't $30, it was $60, and when you're on Social Security that is big money. NT by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 08/05/2013, 10:51am PDT
I hated DSL because Comcast was offering 10MBPS but I couldn't afford it then. NT by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 08/04/2013, 7:00pm PDT
Speaking of '97, I was on DSL from RCN. Even now they advertise something else. NT by Commander Tansin A. Darcos 08/04/2013, 3:57am PDT
