For future historians, this thread is when we all played Shadowrun Returns.
There is a lot of text, and it is good for a video game. It would have been nice if one more editor was around to give the text some edge to it, but this is fine.
Everything else is so good! I like the fact that the UI was intuitive. The graphics are clear. I was willing to look at the tutorial for this one, but I did not have to.
There's a few isometric 2D games like this that I backed or funded early -- Wasteland 2, Dead State, Xenonauts, Satellite Reign, Antharion. Maaaaaaaaaaan this is the sort of game I like and I am delighted that crowd-funding is making them possible. Look, I like "indie games" but there's so much art scene nonsense to it. Kickstarter let a lot of adults put together games that aren't pretentious. This is one of them. Really happy with the state of computer games right now.
