I agree totally with your thoughts on Binding of Isaac. Rogue Legacy is a perfect example of what that game SHOULD have done. Instead Binding of Isaac was a lame, preachy, immature, and sluggish game that really seemed to go out of it's way to waste your time. You'd keep playing until you hit some critical point where you got a bunch of retarded upgrades that broke everything and try your best to dodge at 15 FPS long enough to do the final boss fight.
My main complaint I guess is that things don't feel random enough. It's nice to see a few special rare rooms but I've got too many delves where I see a painting and nothing else. I'd be nice to see some unique enemy types rather than enemies from a different area showing up in the main castle area. |
